Open Enrollment Year-Round
Wilmington Head Start, Inc. is a comprehensive program that provides free state and federally funded support for families. Our program is designed to assist your entire family, and we take pride in ensuring that our services meet your specific needs.
To enroll your child in Wilmington Head, Start, Inc., there are three simple requirements that you need to fulfill. We kindly ask that you carefully review the list below, and should you have any questions or concerns, our personnel will be more than happy to assist you.
Your child must be 3 years old at the time of enrollment.
You must meet our income guidelines. Please note that your family income must not exceed the guidelines published by the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
Categorically eligible families, such as those who are homeless or in foster care, are also eligible for our program.
If your family receives SNAP benefits you automatically qualify for the program
At Wilmington Head Start, Inc., we strive to provide high-quality services to all eligible families, and we look forward to supporting your family’s needs.
The family income must not exceed the income guidelines published by the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
The Enrollment Process
To begin the enrollment process for your child, there are three options available. You may fill out the Family Contact Form, call us over the phone, or visit any of our four centers. In order to complete the enrollment process, you will need to provide the following documents:
Proof of your child’s age
Proof of your household income.
Current physical examination records along with updated immunization records
Health insurance card
Dental visit results
Health treatment plan that includes a list of allergies
After submitting the family contact form, one of our Family Service Advocates (FSAs) will contact you within 5 business days to schedule an enrollment appointment. Please ensure that you have all the required documents ready and that you keep your scheduled appointment.
